C. Cassius Longinus, 43-42 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.72 g, 6 h), with L. Cornelius Lentulus Spinther, military mint moving with the army of Brutus and Cassius (Smyrna?), spring 42. C•CASSI / IMP Tripod decorated with laurel branches and fillets. Rev. LENTVLVS / SPINT Jug and lituus. Babelon (Cassia) 14 and (Cornelia) 76. Crawford 500/1. RBW 1761. Sydenham 1308. Well centered. Some deposits and with minor die breaks and tiny marks, otherwise, about extremely fine.
